Since I’ve only just started my website, I really wanted to showcase the sessions that I’ve already worked on. I have had SO much fun building my portfolio, and while these images might not be “perfect”, each of the sessions I’ve done holds a very special place in my heart. These images show my journey as a photographer and the learning process. I hope you enjoy this blog series of my reflections on the families I’ve worked with thus far!
Introducing…. Ambur and Ryan!
Let me tell you a little story:
I have 2 cousins that are very close in age to me and our family calls us the “NRA” (Natalie, Ryan, Aaron). When we graduated high school, we all walked a different path, but knew that no matter what, family will always be there. Fast forward a few years to when Ryan told me he had a new girlfriend, I was anxious and excited to meet her. It sounded pretty serious! Enter Ambur. Ambur fit in with our (large!) family from the very beginning and I truly think of her as a sister! She is just the sweetest and I can count on her to keep Ryan in line (kidding!!!) Fast forward a few more years, Ryan and Ambur get married, then another year and they announce they are pregnant! Wahoo!!!!
Now its July 2016: Ambur is 9 months pregnant*, I’m home for our annual huge 4th of July party and casually ask if they had maternity pictures done. When Ambur said no, I asked them to let me take them out and have a session! It was so fun to go out and spend some time with these 2 people that mean the world to me!
I hope you enjoy these pictures as much as I enjoyed taking them. When I look back on these, I’m reminded how lucky I am to have such a wonderful extended family. When I look back on these, I feel so thankful that I had the honor of capturing such a special moment. I have to say a special “thank you” to Ryan and Ambur because it was after their session I had that moment of “Wow, I could really do this. I could really be a photographer!”
Now, Ryan and Ambur have the CUTEST little girl who will be turning 1 in just few short months!
*This session happened ON HER DUE DATE!!
See you Tuesday for my next blog post!
